Battle at Kruger

With a thought on one of my recent post, while watching Ellen, this was by far the best 'Nat-Geo' I have ever seen! So unbelievable! An eyewitness account on a very unorthodox circle of life...

new Devilz?

Manchester United need a new striker as Saha is possibly moving to PSV or maybe make a return to Fulhum. Either way, we need another top striker to fill in the void he will be leaving behind. These are some possible candidates.

Dimitar Berbatov
, 27

Berbatov never goes to nightclubs and says he prefer to stay at home and feed squirrels from his balcony =P

Already waitin for his arrival!

Fee:- £38million
Transfer status:- Blue
Other interests:- Barcelona
Reasons Yes:- To partner Rooney. Berba wants to move himself. Very technically gifted player. good fitness record.
Reasons Not:-
The Red Devils put in an initial bid of £20million which was rejected by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who also accused Ferguson of being "arrogant" and reported United to the Premier League for their conduct in pursuit of Berbatov.

Thierry Henry, 30

Fee:- £15million
Transfer status:- Red-if Berbatov moves to Barca or if Eto'o stays
Reasons Yes:-
Less than eye-catching debut season last time around in Catalonia and Ferguson believes Henry could prove to be the perfect foil in attack for Rooney, allowing the England international to return to his former, more successful, front-running days.
Reasons Not:- New Barca head coach Josep Guardiola has not given any clear indication as such that he would be willing to part company with the France international

Karim Benzema, 19

Fee:- £25-35million
Transfer status:- Red
Bids:- £21million or £6million+Louis Saha+Mikael Silvestre
Reasons Yes:- Top scorer in Ligue 1, already an international and highly regarded by most of Europe's top coaches, with some hailing him the successor to Thierry Henry.

Roque Santa Cruz, 26

Fee:- £15million
Transfer Status:- Red-His father willing to chat
Other interests:- Manchester City
Reasons Yes:- United will surely be looking to take advantage of the unsettled environment at Blackburn as a result of Mark Hughes' swift departure.

Klass Jan Huntelaar, 24

Fee:- £20million
Transfer Status:- Red-He rejected new deal with Ajax. He will speak to all clubs interested in him
Other interests:- Liverpool, Arsenal
Reasons Yes:- Scored 70 goals in just 82 games for Ajax.

David Villa, 26

Fee:- £30million
Transfer Status:- Cold-wants to remain with Valencia
Other interests:- Almost every club-Arsenal, Spurs (To replace Keane)
Reasons Yes:- Top scorer in Euro 08

Michael Owen, 27

Injury prone Owen.

Fee:- £12million
Transfer Status:- Frozen Cold-too long

Daniel Sturridge, 19

Fee:- undisclosed
Reasons Yes:- He will move over to the better half ;)

prawn noodles

Last Sunday...my mom made her very own Penang style har meen (prawn noodles) or Hokkien Mee. It beats any hawker stalls' anyday. Period.

*Cantonese - har meen
Hokkien - heh mee

This is one of Penang's signature dish.

It was the best I have ever tasted! My mom was also quite proud as this was her first time making it.

It's a mixture of bee hoon (thinner noodles) and mee (thicker noodles) and added with crunchy taugeh (bean sprouts), kangkung, eggs (my mom left that out), and sliced prawns (both dried- very important, and fresh) with meat laid on top. My mom also expertly added fish cakes.

Together with the good aromatic stock made of prawns, onion, belacan (chili paste) and served with sprinkling of some fried onions and shredded spring onions.

According to my mom, it isn't difficult to prepare.

So far, I'm looking for a challenger to my mom's prawn noodles. Before this, I like the ones served in TTDI. Usually prawn noodles can be found at any hawker stalls around Malaysia at around the price of RM4.00, but for Penangites or Hokkien Mee lovers, Penang style prawn noodles is special and has its own distinctive taste. It's not easy to find the same taste anywhere else.

latest on showdown

With reference to my recent post - Tennis Legends to Face of in Malaysia...

According to The Star, Nadal might not be coming - it will depend on Spain’s Davis Cup fortunes. Spain are scheduled to meet the United States in the Davis Cup semi-final in Madrid on Sept 21. The other semi-final pits Russia against Argentina. The Davis Cup final will be held from Nov 21-23. And that’s where the problem starts.

But the organisers have a ready-made replacement should Nadal help Spain to the final. In that case, American James Blake will compete in the “Showdown of Champions” against Federer.

But Federer has been in miserable form, having been knocked out of the Roger's Cup (ironically) recently while Nadal is on course to earn his World Number 1 tag real soon.

bizarre names

I'm sure we all read about the poor 9-year old girl whose name was Talula Does The Hula. I mean OMG! Does her parents want to ruin her future.. at a young age already?? They could do it much much later in her future. Sure it may be cute... sort of... in a way... some how...(I fail to see it)... when she was a baby. Hey even Talula Dexter Paula would be better (if the sound of the name wants to be retained). But goodness gracious, for the love of humanity and her childhood life, what happened to just plain old Maggie, Mary, Linda etc?? Imagine poor Talula going around her school; can you imagine how cruel kids can be?? The name is embarrassing! I also fail to see how she didn't sue her parents!! She would be the laughing stock of the whole playground!! Ok and what about when she is working for some corporate company in the future! She won't be taken seriously for one bit! And imagine if she does get pulled over (prob for speeding or something), the cops might even arrest her for assuming she's holding a fake id! Well thankfully the judge had her parents renamed her. There are also plenty of other weird names... like Benson & Hedges, Number 16 Bus Shelter... wtf. No offense to the poor children. Sorry.

Well celebs also have the habit of naming their kids with bizarre names. Prob they think it's unique. Different is good. I like a little change. Not absolute weirdness of epic proportion. But hey... dun let me judge...

This dude; Rob Morrow; from numb3rs, is just pure evil! I have seriously nothing to say. Even our pets have better names. Just because his family name is Morrow, he didn't have to be a moron (no pun intended) to call his child Tu (a number for that matter! wtf). This is bloody ridiculous, an all low for child's names. It's not funny anymore. Tu Morrow?? Like wtf man... What's his problem...???? I'm seriously going to boycott watching numb3rs. So terrible. Luckily there is a law for anyone to change their name once they are 21 years old. Salvation! Poor little Tu, can't wish for 21st Birthday to come any sooner.

Of course there are other weird ones. But too painful to be revealed. Aih...

boom de ah dah!

Haha! I can't get enough of this new ad by Discovery. I first watched this as one of the commercials before the start of The Dark Knight last week. Adam was so funny!! How could he burn Jamie without him even flinching?! haha!

Talking about TDK, there was one point when the Joker had a 'Jerry Mcguire' moment with Batman!

Batman: - Why do you want to kill me?
Joker:- Kill you? I don't want to kill you. You... complete me....

I kinda laughed at that part. It was like they were a couple. Batman and the Joker - a couple!

Ok fine... this was the old flick...

No resemblance?

The new 'couple' is much hotter!

But imagine kissing the Joker? Urrgh...

And then they said...

The Joker:- You just couldn't let me go could you? This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. You truly are incorruptible aren't you? You won't kill me out of some misplaced sense of self-righteousness, and I won't kill you, because you're just too much fun. I think you and I are destined to do this forever.
Batman:- You'll be in a padded cell forever.
The Joker:- Maybe we can share one. Then we'll be doubling up the rate this city's inhabitants are losing their minds.

And we all know that's mightily less than possible =(

Pretty too! I mean seriously... this is a good shot!
And people should give Maggie Gyllenhaal some credit ok? She acted her role perfectly!

So, anyway...other tagline or quotes from this show are... as noticed... Joker has the majority share of the good quotes!
- Why So Serious?
- Welcome to a world without rules.
- Can you avenge evil and not become it?
- I believe whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you... stranger.
- And here we go
- Wanna know how I got these scars?
- Sometimes, truth isn't good enough, sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded.

brings back the memories

Since missing out on the Beauty and the Beast play not too long ago, I decided to head to Youtube to reminisce other Disney's classic of the last decade...These are a couple of Lion King's best!

We are one...

Can you feel the love tonight...

Disney don't make cartoons with good songs like they used too...Bring back the 'golden age'!

They just came up with Wall-E. From the looks of the trailer, it looks funny! Haha! But not the musical kind...heh..but hope u enjoy...

bus 142

Krakauer's book, Into the Wild, a true story, was brilliantly written. Whilst reading it, I could actually imagine myself not only watching a documentary, but being in it as well. Recently his book was also adapted into a movie directed by Sean Penn. I haven't seen it though.

The story is about a guy, Chris McCandless, freshed out from college who decides to leave everything behind to go on to an adventure across the states and finally to Alaska. Why? Prob to escape from civilisation, his family he abhors (save his sis), etc. With just a bag on his back, he wanted to see if he could (or prove to others) that he could live off the lands. He managed to do just that for 2 years (incredibly)...even making lots of friends along the way. Basically this story written in a documentary form is about adventure through the exuberant eyes and idealism of youth(s). A journey of self-discovery and what nots. But it also contains plenty of life's lessons. The story celebrates the dreamer in all of us, and the dangers of dreaming alone.

When McCandless was about to forgive his parents and to go back to his near-perfect life he wants had, the most tragic of ends occurred. Even his cries for help were actually heard by his mom back at home. Call it mothers' intuition I supposed. One line which caught my attention, and evokes lots of emotions and I bet it was also McCandless's unwanted realisation (he highlighted in a book) was that Happiness only real when shared...

Fantasy Football is back!

A new season of Yahoo Fantasy Football 08-09 is back and better!

  • New blackboard experience: Try out different formations and line-ups on an online blackboard to help you choose your team more easily.
  • Unlimited team updates: React to injuries and suspensions quickly with unrestricted team changes. Pick as many players as you want from any one team; but be careful who you sell - players are sold at purchase price.
  • In-depth stats: Delve deeper into individual player performances with new, detailed player information pages
  • Create your own league: Take on your friends, colleagues and family members to find out who really knows the most.
  • Free to play: Are you ready for the challenge?
This year could be your year!
Would you do better this year? ;)

Or rather be a manager? Then you will enjoy playing xperteleven
Build a team, join a league and have a chance to compete with other managers around the world. It's kinda like FC Manager. Personally I prefer this one ;) Because the games are more frequent - twice a week. And it's not based on chance.

Happy 90th Birthday Grandpa Madiba!

"We are honored that you wish to celebrate the birthday of a retired old man, who no longer has power or influence"

the new Cantona is coming

Dimitar Berbatov, worth around £20million could be playing alongside Rooney or Tevez is a mouth-watering prospect

Mythical old habits?

I'm back to my old habit again... eating mints... Now I have to reset the number of days back to zero; just like how Bruce Banner did. Eating mints is like an addition to me like how House eats his Vicodin. I bought the Clorets Dark Secret Mints (refer to Pole Dancing post). Its supposedly contains super powers to give guys the confidence to pick up chics and girls to loosen up. Kinda like booze. And since alcohol can't be consumed by everyone, they came up with this! But Ruth told me that whatever charm I had... didn't work... haha... but I was happy that she was happy to see me =)

Well... anyway...I'm not sure if it's true. But my teacher once told me that eating too much mints can make us mandul (impotent)! Yikes! Another case Mythbusters can help me solve!

And yeah... by the way...to Mythbuster fans, on 31st July 2008,Discovery will be airing Mythbuster's 100th episode! It will be a McGuyver Special! Yay! 10pm for Malaysians =D

of jokes and memories

In the beginning of time, we were all the same. Just a piece of trivial life form in the primordial soup, playing wall bounce game. However, as time passes, I mean passes quickly, the universe expands...so has the space-time continuum and yada yada yada. And because time is so fast; catching up with it is sometimes impossible. And because of that, the forces of time and space configurate us, and we become who we are.

Ok after all that complicated intro; alls I wanted to say is Ajay although physically he didn't change much (save he was a lil leaner), he now has an accent! XD XD XD That's like what...only 11 months living in Dublin! Omg!

Ajay and I at Chilis, MidValley

We decided to meet up after like 2 years since he's on his summer break. Plus he's my dad.

Noticed the resemblance?

So anyway he has this thick brogue already! When I first heard him on the phone when I called him, I tried to suppress myself from laughing! I could hear a little bit of 'Ajay' left in him. So no doubt I was calling the right person. But it was how soon he got the accent which is bloody unbelievable! I had plenty of laughs about it. Haha! I wonder whether leprechauns did this to him...hmm...nah must have just been his new pals.

So I had to ask him if he was ever conned before since he looked and sounded like a foreigner. And guess what?? He had a story to tell XD He had just taken a taxi to MidValley. The first driver tried to rip him off! XD ...with all the excuses of the fuel price hike and all. The guy told him he had to pay RM3 extra for the journey. Haha! Ajay is a frequent visitor to MV. So he won't be fooled. Well..at least he didn't ask about how's his visit to Malaysia so far =P

While catching up with old times,

I had Chicken Tacos. Love the tacos! The rice was tasty. But the beans aren't my thing.

Ajay was vegetarian. My bad for picking to eat at Chilis. Sorry, Ajay! Anyway he had the Gorilla Cheese and Mash.

And plenty of laughs later...till we were so stuffed...we had our nice waiter (considered to tip him...but we were paying service tax anyways) to ta pau (pack) the remainders and left to watch...(among the first)

The Dark Knight

The movie was so good! Uber-awesome to the max! The last movie I enjoyed like this was 'I'm Legend'! But this... haha... this was something special. You could tell even when it just started playing. The plot was fantastic! This for me...is the Movie of the Year!

Christian Bale was yet at his best in this batman sequel! *No nipples on his suit this time =P

Why so serious?
I wouldn't mind even watching it again!
Though the answer to that question is kinda freaky =S
Heath's performance was a master class. He totally nailed it with as the Joker! I really do hope he does get at least a posthumous nomination.

The movie was dedicated in the loving memory of Heath Ledger (1979-2008)...

rich slave

I'm really disappointed...

that world's richest slave wants to leave.

Personally, as a staunch ManU supporter, I'm really surprised that our best player, Ronaldo wants to leave the heroics he has done for United for Real Madrid! What do they have to offer there that we don't have? In Old Trafford, he's treated like a God; everyone worships the 42-goals hero. All the kids in the playground wants to be 'Ronaldo'. Because of him, now, the stepovers are the new in-thing! Ok maybe I'm not making a point yet. But to put it simply, the fans love him here in the EPL.

Before this, two years back, he was the most hated player in England. (He got Rooney sent off in the World Cup 06) The only ones who stood by his side were ManU. We kept fate in him. I mean he's a competitive player... that's understandable. Now out of the sudden, Real Madrid comes knocking when he still has 4 years on his contract?! Clubs like Real Madrid can't just swoop down and kidnap all the best players! I also agree with Pele that players should honour their contract especially when his current club still wants him.

Ironically I also read that Cannavaro, the Italian defender who plays for Real Madrid says that he also thinks that Ronaldo should play out the remaining of his contract with ManU. I also heard Cannavaro is speaking on behalf of all his teammates. Of course there will be some who will feel threatened when a new star is coming to town. But there are also some who are real excited with the prospect of playing alongside with him - like Shneijder, Robinho. They have also made it clear they don't want to be part of any deal to lure ManU into letting Ronaldo go.

Another scandalous news I heard was that Ronaldo just broke up with his Spanish fiance. I thought another reason he could move was because of her. She could be closer to home that way. I was about to say that for a true professional, he should disregard what his partner wants. He could dump her and get another one. Afterall, she sounds like a vampire. But then after reading further, apparently, Sergio Ramos, a Spanish defender in the Real Madrid team used to have an affair with her! Good riddance!

From ManU's pount of view... We don't want to sell him at any price... that's final. He's an asset and we have no intentions of cashing in on him. Th Glazers (owners) also said that they would rather see him 'rot' in the reserves than sell to him off at around US$100mil. Well... I would have also said the same thing. I don't want to see him playing against us in the Champions League at all! But for a player's career sake, everyone has a price. And I think Real Madrid should really break the bank to sign him.

At the moment, Ronaldo is recuperating from an ankle surgery on his right foot. He will be out until mid October regardless who he will be playing for after the transfer window closes. It seems he isn't speaking to anyone at the moment. He is also not answering Sir Alex's phone calls. But I think that's just hoax. Anywho... I don't think any player should be bigger than the club. So if he thinks his head already punctures throught the roof of the Theatre of Dreams, then we would let him go. But I think it will be a big mistake. I'm not going to compare to any other players in the past history. But I think he won't be able to adapt to the Real's style of play. He could falter as a player.

However, if he stays at United, he could be a Legend and stand as tall with the likes of Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best, Eric Cantona, Bryan Robson, Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs and many more.

A statue of Manchester United's 'Holy Trinity' of Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and Denis Law has been unveiled at Old Trafford.

of swan and sighs...

I have just finished yet another Nicholas Sparks book, The Wedding, the sequel to The Notebook. It's about a guy, Wilson (the main character) who realised that his wife, Jane, has fallen out of love with him after 30 years of marriage. So, he goes to extraordinary lengths to win her love again... once more.

I was also recently effeminated by his other two books, The Notebook and A Walk to Remember =P However, I felt The Wedding was my favourite of the lot. In fact whilst reading the book, I couldn't help imagining myself as 'Wilson'. I was really into the book that halfway through, I even felt I needed to say a few words to someone I care. It was that powerful and breath-taking! The story also has a surprise at the end, one which left me with a smile on my face =)

Brisingr

Should I pre-order Brisingr by Christopher Paolini at MPH Online? The book will be out on 20th September 2008! I should be having classes around that time. I might not have time to read until the December holidays. But then again, if I order now, I can save 30% or RM10.00! I will only need to pay RM79.90 for the hardcover or RM74.90 for paperback edition. If I buy either one, I could also get an exclusive Brisingr magnetic bookmark for free =D Sighs... decisions... decisions. The first 2 books were brilliant! Especially Book 2! Can't wait to find out what happens in the final cycle!

On another note...MPH Online is book haven...seriously! The books sold online are darn cheap! Plus if we spent RM100.00 or more, they will deliver the books to us for free! But hey...RM5.00 for the shipment fees is a steal (for under Rm100.00 worth of orders) if we aren't willing to leave the comfort of home.

Discounts can reach up to 40% and a whopping 30% on certain bestsellers! I'm seriously considering purchasing books online already after this =D

I like...

I was looping on this song for a few hours straight =D I guess when you really like something like a song or a movie, it's because you can relate yourself to the persona(s) or character(s).

Some stuff that I like at the moment:-
1. Watching House, CSI, Mythbusters
2. Listening to Empty (The Click Five), 7 Things (Miley Cyrus), Say (All I Need) (One Republic)
3. Reading story books
4. Entering contests
5. Working out
6. Cooking
7. Day dreaming

Ok...let's analyse that.
1. I guess that means I like to research -specifically the human body
2. Haha. Not really the tune. All in the lyrics ;)Reminds me of stuffs
3. I guess I like being amongst the characters
4. I love to win - maybe with someone on my mind =P
5. Before I start to analyse...am I selfish? Hmm. Anyway, to feel good
6. Independence!
7. Obvious ain't it?

Why we can't have what we want?

Sometimes in life...we don't always get what we want. Maybe we are just greedy? As the Malay saying goes... beri betis, nak paha (given a piece of calf, but want a piece of thigh - of a chicken). Probably we aren't appreciative enough of what we have already have? We dunno what we got till it's gone... But somehow we cant stop having this feeling. It's what makes us human. It's the driving force which makes us go forth to improve ourselves.

From a distance, we can only stop and stare...dreaming out loud of having it. The feeling is great, keeps tab at the fact that we have a goal. But sucks if someone got it first when you were the first one thinking of having it. Jealous-ness!!!

Worse still if we had it in the first place...It was all ours. Yet we let it go. But hurting yourself our hurling insults at the other isn't going to help. Just got to express how you truly feel.

But then again...think about it, slowly but surely, once we got it, we will stumble (or succeed depends on who you are) yet again. We have to search for another goal! Omg...so soon?? Maybe that was a little pessimistic. Or maybe this is all just me.

Sometimes there's only one thing left to say

I just finished reading P.S. I Love You...

Another brilliant book by Cecilia Ahern along with her other book I read - Where Rainbow's End. Not sure if this movie will end up at Malaysia's shore. Anyway Phoebe Buffet's acting as Denise! That's so her character! Haha! Anyway one thing I like about the book is that Holly's Mag X make up reader's horoscope! Let me try doing it =P Be warn! These are completely fake!

The story was beautifully written. There were many surprising moments in the plot. However, not shocking. Nevertheless, a wonderful piece of literature or chic lit. I love the documentary part! Very funny! =D

This is the full version...

IF

Rudyard Kipling

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Rudyard Kipling

I used to study this poem back when I was in school...
However, it wasn't until the next day of this epic finals (which Nadal won)had I truly grasp what Rudyard Kipling meant. Really moved by this classic poem.

Personally, I needed to hear the poem...I was glad it was recited when I tuned into Sportcenter on Monday. It's very inspiring. I think I need to get a poster of the poem and hang it up on my wall... ;)

I hope you enjoy too... =)

Banana floats!

Haha! Not talking about the dessert...Could use one right now ;)

Nor a banana float at a parade...

According to Yann Martel in his book 'Life of Pi', banana floats! He did one better in his book though. (It was a story only) He claimed an orangutan was on top of a floating barge of bananas! Is that possible? Hell yea! I experimented it myself. The banana floated! And better still, it wasn't soggy inside when I peeled it. Didn't go to waste ;P

I guess that's how the idea of banana boat came to be? Probably a scientist found that bananas float. But no one believed him. So his son decided to prove everyone wrong, by telling it to the whole world, he invented the banana boat to prove his point! haha...or maybe it was just some kid's idea of a joke! (if you know what I mean)

Ok back to the book...so was it possible that a 200lbs orangutan could float on the bananas? I think it could be possible depending how much bananas were in the barge. And the fact that sea water helps in buoyancy could be a huge factor. I wish Mythbuster helps us all out here! And what was the deal with the carnivorous island??? Anywho...it was a gripping adventure reading this book. Full of metaphors and symbols! The tale was so realistic, I had to wonder if it really did happened.

Ok since we are on the topic about bananas...please read what bananas can do for you...

When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.

It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, “A banana a day keeps the doctor away!”

*Also note that we should never put our bananas in the fridge...someone told me that.....or was that a joke? Hmm...well...this is a joke I get

You know what Mae West said?
She said, "Is that a banana in you're pocket or are you just glad to see me?"

Enjoy you bananas...

I need chocolates

*Akon's Lonely ringing in my ear* haihz...Uncle Tham (inside joke)

It's funny how people come and go all the time. Well not that funny. During war, as strong as we all are, no one gets left behind. I guess that's why we all dread to make the decision to go our separate ways...separate lives. Who's to watch our back? Who's to listen to our stories? Who's to share our beer with?

Everybody's leaving...gone to register at other camps. Soon it will just me keeping myself company...like an old rusty rifle with his lost blind hunter. Irrelevant? Well, that's how I see things. Not knowing where am I or where to go. I feel so disorientated. (Pardon the pun if it's even perceivable) I do have a dream; even blind man can. I'm doing all I can to make it happen. But sometimes it's one thing to try and another thing to 'can'. Classic case of I would if I could.

I mean I do have the opportunity not many is given. It's there. It's here. But so unreachable. Just as though a float in front of a drowning man (me) is constantly being pulled away by ferocious currents. And the rescuers at the shore won't want to do anything until I absolutely turn blue before they will consider pulling the gigantic plug out of the river. And they wont even rush to resuscitate me! Probably just to dry me first.

Damn...I just wish I have a clue. I just cant wait any longer...I'm doing my best to shoot for the moon. But my dear friend told me that if I miss, at least I will still be among the stars. Very comforting. Nice way to put it. Call me ambitious or whatever, I still want to go to the moon. No matter how costly, no matter how deserted (it's not that I feel any different now), no matter how far...I'm not trying to run away from things..maybe..I dunno. I just want to fulfill my dreams.

Right now, it's so hard to talk to anyone. It may not seem so. But terribly so. Words don't seem to be my best friends at the moment. I can't seem to see the right from wrong. I might not have the guts anymore to face the people I want to see. Maybe the awkwardness is still tender. I really need some distractions to soothe me. Maybe a new hobby can help me now. Laughing really helps...seriously. Now, I even laugh at the silliest of things. Shows that I'm terribly distraught inside.

Hmm...maybe hobbies ain't such a bad idea now. I shall come up with a list...
1. Drawing? or doodling...though i ain't good at it
2. I reckon I still have cash for some more novels
3. avoid arthritis early no by sewing but by playing with Rubik's cube
4. working out?
5. maybe it's high time i continue writing my story or poems
6. entering contests
7. do some charity things...how long I'm going to procrastinate on this I wonder

Ok thxforlisteninbai...=)

I heart MTV =D

Things I will never say...

Sometimes us human think with such complexity. We are filled with thoughts, emotions and problems. And sometimes it's tough differentiating them when our minds are flooded. Sometimes we wish for an amnesia attack to just lose it all and began everything once more, sometimes we just wish to discover our history just to know where we belong.

Once we targeted and locked on a goal, it's our nature to pursue it. No matter what, we will try to cross boundaries and bend 'rules'. Sometimes, when we make a breakthrough, we will feel great and proud about ourselves. And maybe share the infectious joy with the people around. But other times, we stumble on hurdles which seemed like they are on tiny toes. The route just seemed so unfair yet it seemed so right. So right in fact, we blame ourselves for all the wrong things that have happened. So through many sleepless nights, we will try to figure out what were the mistakes...sometimes even by harshly interrogating ourselves. Only result we end up is complete resentment of our own pity self. We will suffer so much hurt even in places we didn't know we had.

It's will be so hard getting a grip of the 'criminal' within. Sometimes, we just let it out on the wall...literally. Apathy and lack of communication can really break down anyone. It's just best that the message gets through rather than have guilt murder the other. Most notably when we are having fun or enjoying a euphoric moment. Sometimes we wish to revel the instant with someone. But cruelly no someone could be reached. And the moment just died out like that with part of our soul...pathetically, pitifully...

And so...subconsciously, we just do what we can, do what we do to just distract ourselves. Maybe by helping others...even with a cold bottle in one hand. But still with a slight glint of anger and ferocity in our redden eye. Sometimes we still hope we are wrong, and that there were probably some misunderstandings and misconceptions. Then, we would replay evidences, sometimes consulting the stars...

Or God...Where was he when we needed him? Probably at Myanmar or China. But I guess that's because He trusted and believe that we could solve our own problems. He will just give us guidance...and make sure we are always good children. Or maybe He was just helping us to built our character...to make sure we are strong. Very comforting from God...but...

We received so much 'ass' and 'crazy' comments...particularly from our lone self. So much bitter and raw comments can only be too much to handle. Sometimes we just want a little recognition from others...like 'good job' bro or something like that. It's so difficult being under such circumstances. We constantly just try to subdue the devil within. It's tough trying not to make a punchbag out of someone. Or worse...shoving a guy's head into another guy's ass. Then I realised, we shouldn't be putting ourselves in so much shit. A book I read thought me that to forgive ourself is the first thing and best thing we should do under the worst of consequences. Just deep breaths...and I do...haihz...I need a holiday...

To err is human....to forgive is divine...

Mirror

I was searching Google, looking for a decent picture of a chameleon looking at a mirror. None at all surprisingly. I had better chance of finding this =P

Madonna still having it at 50+

But I found this...

This is rather a cool pic. Very aboriginal like. Don't mind having this on my wall.

Since I was on a roll using Google, I decided to google 'Wesley Gibson'. Nothing like what was shown in the movie came up. No surprises there. Pardon the pun ;) In fact over 3,000,000 results came up! So I wiki-ed him and the actor himself, James McAvoy. And OMG! A revolution!

Holly @#*! Both of them are supposed to be the same??! Not bad range for an actor like him.
Wesley Gibson is a ruthless killer, a member of the Fraternity! And Mr Tumnus the nice goat-man!

Anywho...I digress...

Mystic - ability to mimic anyone

The reason for this long winded post was actually to discuss about the latest 'House' episode I watched. The patient was suffering from this Giovannini's 'mirror' syndrome. It sounded so fabricated, yet so believable! So, I decided to do some research about it. And wadaya know...it does exist! Cool... Well, in the episode, the patient would mirror the behaviour of whoever he was with, including House, Cuddy or some of the other new interns. For example, when he was in the surgery room, he would think he was a surgeon. Not only did he start talking like one, he also grabbed a surgical blade; only to be stopped by House. Apparently, he would only mirror the behavior of people he thought was the dominant figure. (It was always House)

It's quite a peculiar syndrome. Can't be cured. In that episode, this syndrome isn't the life threatening disease he was suffering. There was something else. House also did manipulate him, the poor patient, to feed his ego that he was always the most dominant figure around. He also used him to find out more about everyone else since the patient can cleverly 'read' the others so well. (Not that House was so bad at it.) At the same time, the interns who spent time with the patient managed to learn a little more about themselves. So anyway, Giovannini's is the result of brain damage; more specifically at the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.

It's quite cool once you think about it. Kinda freaky but cool. Freaky because he knows so much about you, cool because he understands you. Haha!

To find out more about this syndrome, please reading this article from the British Psychological Society or this article on InformaWorld.
