to feel better

Chaque fois que tu t'en va, je pretend que tu va bien

I am actually breaking,
oh no...
not again right?

There's no such thing as happy ending,
Just happy-in-betweens.
And I wished I had not ended up there.
Well not at this moment.

It's my life
but what do I know actually?

I am so tired of turning and running away.
I guess I am never safe from love.
And I guess that's okay.

- Thanks to Britt Nicole's
Safe for helping me speak
what's on my mind -

sing out

Shout to the Lord, all the earth,
Let us sing

Power and majesty, praise to the King!

Wonderful concert by The Paradise Band at the Metro Tabernacle.

I lost my voice, but it was the happiest I have ever felt in a long while!

boss away.... means still got work :(

So while all the bosses are out... it's time for us to play...!!

or so we thought...

We went to IDS to help another intern out.. He had mountains to do! So, it was nice doing something different for a change. Anyway... this is the warehouse.

We did lots of paperwork... reminds me of my time in the bank.

This was supposed to be an amazing picture. I am now ruing my phone's poor camera resolution. Anyway, this FAN is super huge. Industrial type. So even when it looks like it's spinning quite slow ie. you can see all the blades perfectly while the fan rotates; the wind it generates is tremendous! You could fly a kite in the warehouse!! I wish I have it in my room! No need aircond anymore!

It was nice of the other intern to drive us from Ulu Kelang all the way to Shah Alam! It's super far. All of us were wearing casual (because it was a Friday), so we looked like those road side workers with out fluorescent vests on.

Anyway.. I took time to jalan-jalan... apparently it was one rule I shouldn't have broken... HMM.

Stuffs that we are working on. My Panadol babies. Yean's Ribena babies.
Fresh out from the factory.

Anyway... there was dinner after that.. I didn't join. Went home.. Anyway, we met the next day again, with another intern, for Jogoya and Toy Story 3, which I super duper LIKE!

One of the perks being in marketing is that you get to go out of the office...

And have long lunches...

At foodtastic restaurants! Like this!

Fukuharu...

Address...?? Opposite Sucasa, behind Victoria Station, same building as Il Divo, Jalan Ampang.
Try keying that into your GPS! Ha!

So the reason we went there was because some of us couldn't go to Hokkaido, so we wanted to squeeze some Ringgit out of the company's account to bid farewell to a fellow colleague.

Although I may not know her, well it was nice to be invited...

Some salad.. simple.. yet tasty.. dunno what sauce they use. But two thumbs up.

Chawanmushi.. it's a Japanese appetizer I think.. made of egg, contains mushroom (shiitake??) and lemon skin..curiously. First time eating.. but it's good :)

Some sushi...

My number #6 (Refer to board above)... Got two huge prawns. Very fresh.

Yean's Karatsuki Hotate... Scallops I think.. and something which taste like ikan bilis, with some enoki. I think it's quite nice. But Yean will beg to defer.

Desserts... Picture showing a tiny spoon... with a small scoop of ice cream... I think I was supposed to enjoy my food, bite by bite.

One of the perks being in marketing is that you get to go out of the office... and sometimes.... eat for FREE! Average cost: RM50 per person.

the assignment

I have this thing which I have to do.
Go around talking to pharmacists.
To find out a bit about what influence their recommendations.

It's quite an interesting task.
But sometimes,
I feel that I am wasting my time.
Especially when you go out all so far...
Only to be rejected...
saying it's not the right time.

I would mope..
I would whine..
I would interrogate myself..
and question myself why was it so...
As much as I wanted to feel sorry for myself.
I should know myself...
that this...
all that...
it wasn't pre-planned to be a fairy tale.
I made it seem that way.

And so..
I realised...
I was wrong...
I was perhaps just infatuated...
I hated myself for it.
But deep down..
I know I was right.
I was wrong.
It was something so much more.

never

Some of the best moments are the most fleeting.
It never lasts...
like how you would picture it to be.

Reality isn't parallel with fantasy at all.
We almost always imagine the best.
And it ends up usually hurting our own selves.

We just see things different.
Not eye to eye.

But in her eyes,
I can see a reflection of myself.
Of how I could be.
But perhaps more of who she's looking for.
And it's not me nor I.

But those perfect moments.
Are everlasting.
The are unadulterated...
precious...
You would have want to hold on to it too.
I guess it's just me...
I met someone special
And I jumped in right too soon.

strontium acetate rules arginine!

Some pictures from MDA conference, organised at KL Convention Centre recently...

It's three-day event organised for the dental profession. So many dentists, and dental students were there. So, it was like a huge gathering. And, I was tasked to work on all three days. So basically my weekend was all planned out.

Many companies selling oral-related stuffs also set up their stalls there to promote their products, particularly the newer ones... like our Sensodyne Rapid Relief.

Initially I didn't think I would be doing much... but end up learning how to detail like the other sales team members. So, you can pose any questions about Sensodyne Rapid Relief and I will try to answer them for you ;)

It was quite good in terms of building self-confidence when speaking to the professionals. We had to convey the message fluently, efficiently, and of course clearly, to persuade them why ours is the best. So, it was quite an experience.

See, we were still working until 6.30pm on the first day... tiring much! It was quite okay for the next two days. Yean joined the team then. Probably with the extra person helping, that's why it didn't feel as taxing. :D

On Friday evening, we were invited to the Glee-night dinner, organised for the dental professionals at Istana Hotel. The setting looked really nice.

We waited quite a bit for the buffet to start. As usual, the dinner started late with the combination of the infamous Malaysian timing and the unpunctuality of the VIPs.

Everyone's tummy was growling. So in order to placate us, the hotel served us entrées...

Hard-boiled eggs with sambal + mee goreng! LOL!

But it was good... seriously.. haha. I had two eggs and one packet of the mee.

After the speeches by the VIPs, all of us rush to the stalls (literally) to get our food...

The first of my helpings.

I had 5 helpings... yes. 5! No proof though.. I ate everything before thinking of taking pictures. My colleagues even stared at me.. Actually I was even surprised at myself. I didn't think I was that hungry. :p But overall it was satisfying. Reached home with the help of Steven, at 10. Slept after bathing, with my foot super-aching, and was up early the next day to start work all over again at 8am.

It was a good weekend :)

:)

Gosh.. This is just too cute!! Playful puppies and laughing babies get me every time!

settled sea

Look at the birds of the air;
they do now sow or reap or store...
And yet your heavenly father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they?
Mathew 6:26

everything

Would you help me out if I can't see..
the truth that encroaches underneath unknowingly?

Would you show me how does it feel
when I silently whisper your name into your ears?

Would you feel the same...
what I am feeling for you right now?

Now I know I need you here with me.
I feel blessed to know you.
You inspire me.
You touched my heart.
You give me the strength to accomplish things.
You are always by my side.
You are understanding.
You are always on my mind.

How can I,
stand by you.. and not be moved by you..
I am swept away.
Crazy... but I believe,
each time I look into your eyes.
The feeling deep in my heart,
I can't deny.

How could it be better than this?

of maturity and its truth

I was helping a colleague with something. It wasn't something too hard. Just double checking and kinda like data entry. But it was a huge file. It took about 2 minutes to open. And... it was a file from a shared folder. So yeah.. it was pretty important. Anyway.. I save the changes I made, locked my computer and off I went for lunch.

After coming back.. I tidied up my table a bit.. and returned the document in her. She asked if I have saved. I said yes.. So anyway.. I clicked to close the file. Then, it asked me if I wanted to save the changes I made..

These kinda things always freak me out.. I swore I didn't make any more changes.

scatters of a healed..

Sometimes, we disagree.. we have our own opinions... but..

But.. it could be true...

star gazing...

Saturday at Bukit Bintang...

YUM YUM! Darn cheap fine-dining at Starhill Gallery. Only RM3.60 per dish. There are a few participating restaurants. All the promotions are from 3-6pm until the end of the month. Ate at Shook - which basically serve Asian and Western fusion. Based on the 80-90% of the menu I ate ;) it was pretty good... some were very value for money, like the 6 inch pepperoni pizza and the Caesar's salad. And to down everything down, the mocktails were wonderfully soothing and refreshing. I noticed a nearby table who ordered about 10 glasses O.o Hmm... but I think there was a bit too much MSG in the food... kinda thirsty after that...

And on a random note... TRY going to every toilet in Starhill Gallery! (Especially in the Lower Ground) They should be a tourist attraction themselves!

There is one... where an attendant would be in the toilet to help pump the water for the tap.. Dad said he seemed like a slave. I used the tap twice... so I felt obliged to tip him. And I did. Plus the toilet was quite dungeon like. It made him seem more like a prisoner. They might as well have shackled him to the wall.... upside down.

Anyway...

Also checked out the new Nat-Geo store in Lot 10. The shop is owned by my friend's mom. Rich fella. Anyway, there were many fascinating stuffs. But of course... everything was really overpriced.

If I were still a kid, I would have squealed at my parents for one of this. Ain't it cool!!?? Playing with your own fossil. YAR.. I know.. I am damn ROSS GELLAR. I was a dino fanatic. Back when I was young, I pretty much knew a lot about dinosaurs. Read plenty of books about them. Heck, I even wanted to be a paleontologist when I was young. Anyway, I would be tempted to buy this.. probably for a cousin.. but then, the price scared me away.

Went to the rooftop... Rootz? Nah... Just to have a look at the sunset over the KL skyline.. Haha.

Times Square under the bright orange hue of the setting Malaysian sun... Okay.. not that orange...

A few more shots before the sun sets beyond the horizon...

Enjoying the last few rays of the sun... Sometimes, you would feel that sunsets would always capture your gaze. You would always want to follow it down, to watch the changing colours of the sky, to witness the completion of a day.

Or just be emo... and think of stuffs.. haha.

After that, went down to Lot 10 Hutong in the lower ground for desserts. I love them Snow Ice.. Much better than any ice kacang. Steep price.. but no one minded, because they were on me.

punctuate it

All keyboards including that on our phones are in an urgent need of this sign...

or at least on our messengers.

SarcMark

What does it mean?

Would a 'hello (sarcmark)' back at someone seem rude?

Well, it would end unwanted conversations immediately.

keeping mozzies away

Someone told me that all gardens should have this plant - Marigolds. It helps to deter mosquitoes. They don't like its smell. Are there any other natural things to help me keep mosquitoes at bay?

in 60 seconds

At delicious, Marc's Residence before event.

Launching of new variant - Sensodyne Rapid Relief

Nice interior.

Maybe it will look nicer at night.

With people.

From where I was sitting - registering trade partners attendees.

With a nice glass of iced watermelon punch :)
I think it was to test if any of the guests had sensitive teeth. Well played, GSK ;)

It was my first time eating at delicious... and the food absolutely justified its namesake. Unfortunately I gulped down the food before having the chance to take any pics. Anyway, the day was all about the launch. Although I was only minimally involved in the organising of the event, but I could see the hard work put into each detail.

Throughout the event, I had my own ideas how it could have been better... maybe next time I would have the chance to share with the team :)
