OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!

THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE BEST CONTEST EVER!

OKAY... *Deep Breathes* Salbutamol please! OKAY...

Check this out...

You may have heard from cinema ads or bars about a man named Arthur Guinness...
and so you probably heard that this year, Guinness will be celebrating 250 years of brewing the World's best loved beer.

And to truly mark this celebration, one which to remember (perhaps for generations to come), Guinness is ready to make history!

They have just launched a contest which will blow any other contests away. In fact, it is SO BIG, it would blow any other previously known 'epic' contests! I am talking about something bigger than Opera's wonderful gifts, people!!

One Contest to rule them all, One Contest to find them, One Contest to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
Lord of the Contests wtf...

Okay... there are 3 prizes on offer.

One - You get to win a Guinness Studio Experience.

The Black Eyed Peas will perform a private gig just for you and your friends!!

Sometime in 2010, GUINNESS® will transport you and two friends to an undisclosed location where you’ll be put up in a 4* hotel for three nights. You’ll then be taken to an intimate recording studio and here The Black Eyed Peas will perform a live set exclusively for you and your friends. Afterwards, you’ll be able to meet the band and spend time with them before heading out to sample the sights and sounds of the local area.

Two - You get to win a Guinness Sea Experience.

You and your two best friends will get the chance to explore the mysteries of the sea aboard the remarkable GUINNESS® 250 Underwater Bar.

Reaching depths of up to 70m below the surface of the Norwegian Sea, you’ll be able to watch the stunning seascape unfold around you from the luxury of the bar.

And finally, the third prize you could win.... is a chance of a lifetime to SPACE!!!

Yes People! I said it right!

Three - You get to win a Guinness Space Experience!!

You will be given the chance to be among the early non-professional astronauts to venture into space aboard Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic.

You and a friend will undergo intensive astronaut training at Spaceport America, Virgin Galactic’s home and launch site in New Mexico. Then, the countdown begins... The flight itself will be like nothing you’ve ever experienced. You’ll reach speeds of over 2,500 mph. You’ll experience zero gravity, floating weightless around the cabin almost 70 miles above the Earth’s surface. And you’ll witness the view to end all views, stretching thousands of miles in all directions as you look down on our planet or gaze out into the black stuff.

All psyched yet!?!?

OKAY... what do you have to do to win these amazing experiences?? (I am eying at a chance to go to space =D =D)

You do not have to start a Guinness bottle collection.
You do not have to proof you drink Guinness all the time... which means you do not have to make a video of that.
You do not even need to write any slogans!!

And even if somehow you have not heard of GUINNESS® before... NO MATTER!

All you have to do is get yourself registered in this lucky draw at their website. After signing up, just answer one very simple question...

GUINNESS® is celebrating its 250th anniversary since the signing of the lease at St. James's Gate Brewery, Dublin in 1759"

It's a True/False question.

I will give you some hints:
The answer rhymes with brew. It begins with a T and you might RUE if you answer wrongly. Okay... maybe that's confusing. The answer is True lah.

Now you must take me along if you win, especially if win the Guinness Space Experience. It will fulfill my boyhood dream. You will make me such a happy boy! =D =D =D I will be eternally your servant!

OH!! And you are allowed to send in one entry everyday. So give yourself a better shot at immortality!

P/s Get me another Salbutamol...! I am starting to wheeze again...

Some random pics and vids...

The Right Brain vs Left Brain Test:-

Do you see the dancer spinning clockwise or anticlockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anticlockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past
math and science
can comprehend
knowing
acknowledges
order/pattern perception
knows object name
reality based
forms strategies
practical
safe

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination rules
symbols and images
present and future
philosophy & religion
can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
believes
appreciates
spatial perception
knows object function
fantasy based
presents possibilities
impetuous
risk taking

Let me give you a tip. Don't stare so closely at the screen. Move back and relax. Now... concentrate on her shadow for a moment. Walah! See what I mean? Now you are a genius! You can use both sides of your brain.

don't sweat it

Each time I use the computer; it’s agony! Mosquitoes will lay siege on my legs before I could even start up the pc. Somehow, if there are a 100 people in a room, mosquitoes would still prefer my and only my blood. And the other 99? Well, they would not have to deal with too many mosquito problems. You could say that I can be pretty handy at parties. Or if you are a much nicer person, you could feel sorry for me and my huge puffy lumpy skin.

They seem hard to avoid, and you’re never sure where they’ll be or how many of them will be around. But they assault your body, and you can only get rid of hundreds of them a night and still have that particular one which gets through.

So, naturally I needed to find out why these pesky pests keep bugging me and what makes my blood taste like a smorgasbord to them.

According to experts (both mosquitoes-approved and mosquitoes-less-approved), mosquitoes are attracted to lactic acid in sweat and to carbon dioxide. This would explain why mosquitoes are mostly hovering under your table, where your sweaty feet are. Dang! And I thought mosquitoes have smartened up by attacking us from where we can’t see. I guess I would need to use Vape coils from now on. OR… baits traps with dry ice (solidified carbon dioxide). Simple candle or incense which will mask the aroma will do just fine.

Oh, and you probably already deduced by now that I sweat easily. Lactic acid is also released when certain foods high in salt or potassium are consumed. SO… no bananas if you plan on going camping in the jungle. That’s the worse thing you could do to yourself.

Mosquitoes are also attracted to sweet smells including perfume, hair oil and deodorant. They also are attracted to dark clothing. So, we should have none of these from dusk to dawn, if we don’t want to get bitten. You know, this could be why Asians (Black hair! Not trying to be racist!) and Goths are often on mosquitoes’ menu. But if you are neither an Asian or a Goth or an Asian Goth, and you still think that mosquitoes go vampire over you more than everyone else, you could be right. This may be due to the fact that mosquitoes-less-approved (MLA) people secrete a natural repellent that your (mosquitoes-approved (MA)) body doesn’t make.

But, even if you think you’re less attractive to the opposite species (the 99 others); mosquitoes will never leave you completely alone. If you want to really turn them off, an insect repellent containing DEET (N,N-diethyl-meta-toluamide) comes in handy.

Maybe in the future, there could be a pill you could pop to appear ‘invisible’ to mosquitoes… Makes you wonder…

Coldplay is a superhero who throws a fight with a giant squirrel.

I love fancy-pancy, artsy-fartsy music videos!

23/07/09:- Uploaded a different video. The previous one was removed due to copyright issues. This one is a bit cacat at the ending. The music ended way much earlier than the video. But the video is still awesome-much!

weee~~~~~

When Manchester United were slated to come to Malaysia, I was ecstatic! All I could think was the magic they could conjure on the pitch. I would imagine each and every ManU player bamboozling their way through Malaysia's defense with their dazzling silky skills.

Last Friday, during the training of the teams... I came an hour before it was due to start. I had actually some trouble looking for someone to go with. I had asked no less than 8 friends (all of whom were too busy) before finally getting William to come along with me. It was a seriously long time since we last met up. And I was surprised that he didn't plan to go for the next day's match, considering he is a ManU fan.

L->R: 1. Merchandises were sold at mark-up prices. 2. Mechanical bull-riding.

However, I had to wait as William was working that day. And so I went to the Sokker Safari, a carnival in conjunction with next year's world cup in South Africa. Hence, the bull above. =.=
Oh and because of the Safari, I decided to watch Lion King! Haha!

I found this very captivating. In fact, I was here for quite awhile. I even phoned Kishan to come and give his best. But he MIA. I was there for so long until the booth manager noticed that I had not given a go at it yet. The idea was for us to kick the ball as hard as we could and if the speed of the ball exceeded 50mph, we will be given a free United poster. When it was my turn, I considered toe-poking (which would cause the ball to travel at a greater speed) the ball, but I opted to side-foot the ball instead. 38mph also not bad whud... if you had seen what I was carrying and wearing. But I did not leave empty handed. They gave me some United players collectable cards. Old though... from the 1997/98 season.

By 5pm, there were about 30,000 people who were already slowly filing into the stadium. So I decided to head in first. After awhile, William showed up. We grabbed our seats behind the goal, and more often than not, spent time catching up after the years, whilst trying to identify the players from afar. (I decided to bring a pair of binoculars the next day.)

Doing the Mexican Wave.

After the training, we left at about 7pm after I had grabbed a RM3 Ramli. (DAMN inflated!)

......................................................................................................................................................................

On match day, it was like uber mad! People came out of the LRT station like it was a human factory of some sort. Soon the whole lot in front of the stadium was bulging! Thousands of people were there even before 3pm!

A glimpse of the red tide in the Bukit Jalil LRT station.

To give you an idea of the sheer scale amount of people who were there, imagine yourself as one of these crabs...

Christmas Island Red Crabs migration

... but clone yourself 8 times over.

A Chelsea fan I met outside the LRT station wearing a Malaysia Rambo headband! Oh and did I mention he's an African?

Anyway, I waited for two of my friends, both of whom I had agreed to sell my extra tickets to. I sat (wait, I stood) at the stairs with one of them (whom we had not meet up since last year). There were no seats anymore by the time we got in.

The game brought out the best in our Malaysian team. Amri Yahyah did all of us proud when he netted a brace to draw level at one point in the game. But with 6 minutes of normal time remaining, Michael Owen, broke Malaysian's heart with a well taken predator's goal. United 3, Malaysia 2. What a game and what a day! Had a blast especially with my company!

......................................................................................................................................................................

The second game which was held yesterday at the same place was the result of the Jakarta leg of United's Asia Tour being cancelled. Blessing? No comments. But we were there once again to witness a more straight forward match where the goals came early. Owen was on the scoresheet again in the 2-0 win.

The stadium was understandably less full than it was last Saturday, but the atmosphere was still there. There were a few Malaysian supporters playing the drums (or perhaps something more traditional... but what do I know?).

Mom and I decided to go only at the very last minute... seriously. She came home early, cooked and by 7.45pm, made up her mind to go. I agreed to follow her, and somehow we managed to reach just as both teams kicked off. But as soon as the match ended, we left and we got home by 12.15am. Phew... just in time before the LRT services ended.

Then I camwhored... Lol..

blast from the past

40 years ago, the world united.

Families all around the world crowded around their black-and-white television sets to witness one of the most famous achievement by mankind.

kkkkhhh..... or *static sounds*

Neil Armstrong: Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed. *beep*

Mission control erupts in celebration as the tension breaks, and a controller tells the crew "You got a bunch of guys about to turn blue, we're breathing again." Apollo 11 landed at 4:18 p.m EDT, only 30 seconds of fuel remain.

The goal, a brainchild of U.S. President Kennedy had earlier in the decade challenged America to rise to the occasion to beat Russia in the race to send a man to the moon. Kennedy was assassinated two years later, but his legacy lived on, and on that faithful Sunday evening on the 20th of July 1969, Armstrong set foot on the moon, and the rest was...

...that's one for step for men, one giant leap for mankind.

Apollo 11 Commander Neil Armstrong working at an equipment storage area on the lunar module. This is one of the few photos that show Armstrong during the moonwalk.

- NASA -

We can now watched the Apollo 11 mission in real time, created by this website. It will track the capsule's route from the Earth to the Moon, ending with the moon landing and Armstrong's walk — in real time, but 40 years later. Let's relive the excitement and the moments of the moon mission ;)

aduhai/oh no...

28/04/09 - Earth Hour at Capital Square. I have some stories to tell of this day. But then, this was old news. Let's just say I didn't get the shirt (even after paying) and I was so frustrated, I beg someone for a glow-in-the-dark wristband, but then I learnt something more meaningful and significant about what this event truly represent.

Some pictures of the Pavilion Crystal Fountain.
