Heroes!

Last Saturday night, I managed to convince my family to go Pavilion! Muahahaha...!! =D The reason??? To go to the RainForest Sports Bar to see...

United Legend himself, Bryan Robson!!! Captain Marvel!!! Robbo!!!

He played for ManU from 1982-1994

Here are some facts about Bryan Robson:-

  • Bryan Robson scored at least one League goal a season from 1974-75 to 1994-95, for either West Brom, United or Middlesborough.
  • Bryan Robson is the only British player to have captained 3 FA Cup winning sides - 1983, 85, 90.
  • Bryan Robson became United's oldest postwar scorer when he hit the mark against Oldham in the 94 FA Semi replay. He was 37 years and 92 days.
  • During his playing career, Bryan Robson is thought to have broken, fractured or dislocated more than 24 bones in his body.
  • Robson's 12 years as skipper makes him the clubs longest serving Captain of all time.
  • Against France in 1982 after only 27 seconds, he scored the second quickest ever goal at the World Cup Finals.
  • He played 437 times for United, scoring 99 goals!
  • He earned 90 caps playing for England (1980-1990) scoring 26 goals!
  • This is his roll of honour-
1994 F.A. Premier League
1993 F.A. Premier League
1991 European Cup Winners Cup
1990 F.A. Cup
1985 F.A. Cup
1983 F.A. Cup

The lighting there was blue...but I met the man himself! (Had one of his security personnel capture this pic =D) I also had time to play reporter...

Me: Excuse me , Mr. Bryan Robson...who do you think will win tomorrow night?
Robbo: Spain for sure.
Me: Cool. What about Ronaldo? Is he leaving?
Robbo: Don't worry. He's staying.
Me: Yay! Ok thanks Mr Robson!
Robbo: My pleasure =)

Haha! It turns out he was right about Spain's victory! I really hope he's right about Ronaldo!

Spain's 44 years wait finally come to an end thanks to a solitary goal by Torres in the 33rd min. A well deserved victory. They dominated the whole tournament!

"Money wasn't my main motivation. I simply wanted to be a winner."
Bryan Robson explains his reasons for joining United

Oh..and this ctrl+shift+T thing is uselful in Firefox. Could reopen the tab I accidentally close =D

I wanted to share a video of one of Robbo's best game!

A great example of his leadership was in a Cup-winners cup game against Barcelona in 1984 when United, 2-0 down from the first leg came back to win 3-0 at Old Trafford, Robson getting 2 goals.

Kick me!

Sometimes when I said something wrong, it's usually very difficult to take it back. I would just cringe and sometimes writhe in pain! It's especially worse if the other person sweetly excused my faux pax (or so I wish to think). The only thing I think it would help to fix the situation is to put a gigantic sign of such on my back...!

Please...anyone?? Not in a sadistic way...

But to other sort of kicking...

It will be Germany vs Spain in the finals!

Ok let's learn a little of German and Spanish while we are on this topic...

My Favourite Rube Goldberg

I totally love this episode of Mythbuster! I used to play Rube Goldberg with just dominoes, but this is crazy! Of course there are some way wackier ones than this (on YouTube). But somehow I miss Christmas. And the way Adam present it is just hilarious! Hope you enjoy ;)

omgwtfbbq #@*!

I'm now so upset. Would you feel distraughted if all your favourite bands and singers all decided to swoop down to your neighbours just because they are somewhat richer and can be kick-ass hosts! Ok...Celine Dion did choose to serenade KL; and mind if I add; she was amazing! But guess who Singapore can be expecting this August??? Alicia Keys, One Republic, Panic at the Disco, Simple Plan, New Found Glory, Lostprophets, Travis and so many more will be part of 20 hrs mega-concert at the SingFest! Saying that we should boycott Singapore would be unfair. But we do have as many fans as they have! Why don't they come here as well?? ='( It's so saddening... Singapore are doing a really good job attracting tourists this year. They will be having the world's first night F1 race, they just lanched the world's biggest ferris wheel there, they have been getting loads of our money thru the 1/2 price discounts for us; to name a few. Haihz...such is life. Oh well, hope MTV can hook me up with some of those priceless tix! Give it to me =D

Milk Loves You - Help a Child

World Milk Day is held every 1st of June. It started from the dawn of the new millennium. The reason being the fact that FAO (Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations) discovered that we aren't drinking enough milk.

So, let me explain the benefits of drinking milk. I mean; why should we? Most of us are already no more kids right? WRONG!

See...even a BIG boy like The Hulk drinks his milk...He needs it to retain his strong bones! We constantly forget that our bones actually consist of living tissues. When we lack calcium, our body actually drains the calcium from our bones (reservoir). So, we need the nutrition from milk to replenish the calcium contents in our bones. By drinking milk 3 times a day, in addition to exercising, we can reduce the risk of osteoporosis (brittle bones).

Also if you want to have great hair like Hayden, drink up your milk as it contains proteins, lipids, calcium, vitamin A, B6, biotin and potassium. Try bathing in it; who knows your hair might be softer. If it doesn't work, try papaya extract. Wait..i'm still talking about milk.
Hayden also has a beautiful smile. Milk helps her reduce the risk of tooth decay by acting as a substitute to our saliva to clear cavity-promoting substance. Milk also acts as a buffer to protect our teeth from harmful acids as well as to rematerialise tooth enamel. Maybe our teeth can be whiter if we drink enough milk? ;)

Lazy?? Want to have a better snooze? Milk helps you sleep as well as a pig like Garfield. Milk contains tryptophan, an amino acid used to make serotonin (feel good substrate). Warming up milk activates tryptophan. Serotonin helps you relaxxzzzz...

Even Superman agrees... ;) Milk helps you feel Super!

Haha! All these got milk ads make me want to do it myself ;P Next time...

To help share the privilege of drinking milk with needy kids, just head on to here and click on the feed-a-child icon. With every click, a packet of UHT milk will go towards nourishing a needy child. Share the love y'all! =D

French Toast - Part II

Ok...visualise this...you are hired by the Government to bring glory to the nation because you are the top man for the job. You were outstanding as a youngster. Precocious in fact. However, you did ok only in the preliminary stages; just about achieving the bosses' targets. But the Government and the rest of the people still had faith in you to get the job done. Besides, everyone needs a little time to adapt to your work and bond and inspire your team members. Lately though, when the world was watching you on the biggest stage, you and your team mates didn't turn up. Let's just say you didn't do a good job. Naturally, you are getting so much criticism from everyone you personally don't know and about to lose your job after a very disappointing two weeks of work. What would you do?

People under such circumstances would normally defend themselves or avoid talking to anyone, particularly the media. Or perhaps they would at least promise to make amends of everything by putting a better show next time. They could even reveal drafts of their future plans to everyone. Or maybe even make a public apology at the very least. However, this situation is anything but normal. This guy decided to proposed to his girlfriend! Not the most romantic situation...even I can identify that.

How could you???

What I got from our local u was hardly what I wanted...Pengurusan at USM!! Like ok people of the great ministry...I get you! You are trying to screw with me right??? I know that was my 8th choice...but I simply chose that just to experiment with you guys. It shows that you don't really give a damn to what I really want!!! Imagine...my 1st 3 choices were pharmacy, then medicine and a further 3 choice on chemical engineering. Plain simple I want something from those. Not just a management course!!! Ok..fine management skills and the other soft skills are important these days. But fyi..I can learn that once I'm done studying. I was already planning to.

Ok enough with myself...I have a friend who got 3A 1A-. Why did you just give her Business Admin??? Ada logik ka??? No wonder no one trusts our STPM anymore. You guys keep giving students from matriculation all the priority in the world when obviously STPM are the more recognised of the two; plus with a higher standard. Furthermore, STPM students are the ones excelling in your local varcities, hence giving the likes of UM, USM, UKM a good name! Ok...now you claim that Matriculation students have no where to go if they aren't given a place in the local u. I don't blame them. It's our education system which is totally screwed up! No wonder many top scorers and parents opt to pay more for a better education overseas...and thats's why no one is willing to come back home either. Think about it...our education system needs a revamp. Otherwise, we have to start employing more foreigners just to keep our country afloat.

Firefox vs Internet Explorer

An independent study shows that, in 2006, IE users were vulnerable to online threats 78% of the time. Firefox users? Only 2%.

“At risk” defined as publicly available exploits with no patch. Source: “Internet Explorer users Unsafe for 284 Days in 2006”
Brian Krebs, Washington Post, 1/4/2007

With more than 15,000 improvements, Firefox 3 is faster, safer and smarter than ever before. So basically...Firefox is unquestionably, undoubted the safest web browser! Plus...what's cooler than an orange fox for a mascot??!

Awww.....

Oh...btw...thanks to everyone's support, over 8 million Firefox 3 were downloaded yesterday alone! A new record was achieved!

KLX - FlashMob

The FlashMob last Saturday at KL Sentral was loads of fun. Although we expected more to go siao but it was still pretty exciting for any virgin mobster like me!

I actually came from MidValley; had a class reunion with my friends. We had Nandos. I explained to some of them about the mob...unfortunately we were all having a good time rekindling. Made no mistake, I was also excited to chat with my old friends. Haven't seen them in ages! So, since I was already out early, I had still had no idea where the mob will be at. Luckily my sis was home =D When she told me the location; I was kinda shocked/happy/confused/excited. I was contemplating/vacillating whether I would cut my reunion short. Only when we were at the pool room, then I decided to leave...at approx 4.30pm. Just about enough time. Phew...

So, there I was...at KL Sentral...looking around...What's this??? So few people??? Bleh...decisions...decisions...

It's because I have also yet to receive a complete set of instructions...and Dammit! I forgot to bring my headset...great...

Well. things didn't quite go as smooth as RandomActs would have liked either. 1st - so few people! That's hardly a mob! 2nd - The clock malfunctioned. Haha!

So they improvised...they went up to the ground floor to do the countdown...I decided to just goof off...

Ooh..and I so happened to know both my CAs! but I only came to realise that much much later. Haha. 1 was Jules from FlyFm. The 2nd I had really not expected not to recognise him! It was Jason Choo XD School mates 3 years back. He changed lots. He should have recognise me!

We did loads of crazy stuffs la...What we did at Sentral wasn't that eye-catching. Haha! Could also be possible with the fact that my red team had only 7 including myself! Or maybe because I was sesat with the mp3 already. So anyway...we got on the LRT towards KLCC. During the journey, 1 of the CAs dropped some money. The rest of us then stooped around like chickens looking for food. People probably wont see that like a mob yet...maybe yuppies' nonsensical behaviour la.

After the doors open at KLCC, we donned our birthday hats and shouted 'Happy Birthday!' Then preeep! from our birthday whistle. Ok, maybe now we are getting somewhere. That's more like a mob...or perhaps they thought it was someone who's standing outside punya's birthday. Actually all this time, we were followed by our very own paparazzis. So, there were many curious on-lookers in the LRT.

Once we got out and passed the Rotiboy Shop, we did the Zombie walk all the way to G2000! Can u imagine???

Err...yea..something like that...but we didn't look like the living dead...more like drunks! And... Must not blink...need to convince I'm dead... Anyway while doing this...we got plenty of attention. Parents were like terrified and curious at the same time. As for the youths..they thought what we doing was normal...just a tad too much of late night football. Oh! I also saw 2 friends! Renee and Ker Shin! *lowers face* They were busy talking...safe...

Our camera crew were still filming...

We prob looked like we were filming a budget zombie movie version of 'I'm Legend'...

Maybe not...

Ok...next...we walked towards the fountain. Let me explain what we were supposed to do... We should be like 007 holding a 'gun' towards our chest, looking from left to right suspiciously. Then when we spot the enemy, we were supposed to aim the 'gun' into the sky, then lowering it, pointing towards the 'enemy' and then...

like this...

and not this...

and then play dead awhile...

But what we did...was different...unfortunately out timing was off a bit..so we did it in just 1 quick move...like a texas stand-off..and collapsed on the ground. Haha! It was till pretty cool and funny!

This is Zain...mastermind of the project...RandomActs guy...
thanking and congratulating us for a good job. He can't help to hide his frustrations bout the 'bang

These are my fellow red team members. Haha. (Jason-guy in beret =P)

And this event can't be done without these guys...the people behind it all...(Jules-wearing white; centre, with sling bag)

Nike: Take It To the NEXT LEVEL

I first saw this advert yesterday when I went to watch Incredible Hulk! I love this ad! Oh and the movie was just as good; better than the previous one =P Enjoy~ Btw...take note than even in the video, Manchester United beat Arsenal! Muahahaha! =D And the 2 teams I'm supporting for for Euro, Netherlands & Portugal are there, perhaps in the finals =)

Why do people hurt?

Why? Is it because it's natural? Is it because we want to? Is it because we don't want to forget?

Maybe it's because the mixture of everything (different proportion for different people). Or maybe we crave for some attention. Or maybe people just do it for the greater good (even if it means hurting the ones they love the most). One thing is for sure; we don't deserve it if we don't deserve it. I know that is something even Captain Obvious dread to say.

But perhaps people hurt because they care for us. They want what it's best for us and we hate it that they are always right. Though somethings are unintentional, we still feel the occasion pangs and pains. However, we should understand that they could be feeling the effects more than us. Even Sigmund Freud would be proud I incorporate Newton's 3rd Law here - Every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction.

Another one more of the plethora of reasons could probably be the fact that people hurt because they only intend to protect someone else they equally love. We shouldn't just succumb to our blind judgment without gathering the facts first. When the dust of war settles, we might just regret our hasty moves. When we are inclined to think irrationally, we let our emotions cloud our thinking and get the better us.

Some people even go the distance to announce to the whole world why they hurt. Maybe they do it for the heck to annoy us. Maybe they are just plain thoughtless, bored and immature. Or maybe it's just an act of revenge - to teach us a lesson by taking the law into their own hands; for the incy bitsy crimes we committed. Or perhaps...just maybe we treat them too well...and well...some people aren't used to that. And they know they don't deserve it (for things they have done); so they just want us to hate them back so badly (kinda like Sawyer from Lost).

Food for thought though; mistakes are usually caused by the gravest of unfortunate miscalculations. Integers might be wrongly used, extra zeros might be accidentally inputted; but we shouldn't just react by accusing the accountant for purposely perpetrating those errors. Just forget and forgive them. We should come to a realisation that they come across with numbers everyday, day in day out! Don't just condemn or demean them. They have feelings and dignity too! Help them out; listen to what they have to say; you might just find out something about them you had not know before...

So people! Control the Hulk in you ;) Do what Bruce Banner did in the end =)
Btw...the movie was good! Hulk Destroy!

Invitation: KLX - The MP3 Experiment

Flashmob this Saturday 14 June is going to be insane/siao/gila.

There are still places to be 1 of the official 90 RandomAgents participating in KLX.

Go to the page on Facebook and look at the Attending list. That list may have 90 people, or more. If the latter, then I hope you’re a good guesser. What you can do is, private message us and ask us if we could forward the emails to you. Keep in mind, that RA has no control over who clicks Attending or otherwise. Meaning, not all those on the Attending list are the 90 people receiving the emails.

We are inviting you all! Let's have some fun!

Sierra Hoop Tricks - Revisited

Damn it! How did she do it?? That's really some gravity-defying hoola-dancing. Very precocious girl! Haha! Sierra's cute...especially when the hoop choked her, and she coughed =D

Pepsi Longest Football Dribble

Coolness! I registered in this record-setting attempt not too long ago, and I was among the 900 kaki bola chosen! The attempt was 12 hours long of continuous football covering up to 87km all over KL! The event kicked off at Titiwangsa at 10am.

I gathered at Eden at about 3.30pm - very hyped up. However I was surprised to see so few in my leg of the attempt. Only 4 of us guys! So we got in this UNISEL bus (UNISEL - University Industry of Selangor) to register and collect our no. We were each asked how far we could dribble. I felt that was rather rhetoric. I could go as far as they wanted me to. So I just said 1km. They were surprised. Ok maybe I don't look like a footballer. Urrgh! But I wished I had the chance. Plus there were so few of us. They allowed me to run 800m. So anyway...I dribbled from Pandan to Jalan Peel. It was so cool being escorted by polices while kicking a Pepsi ball on the road! Muahahaha! Even so I didn't have the luxury to take my own pic. I was busy looking out for traffic, while keeping the ball moving on the not-so-level road. I was enjoying a good pace but the organisers told me to chill and slow down. Haha. So I finished my part and passed to the other guy.

There he goes...with the organisers in the opened white van escorting him.

And then...I realised. I was alone! I thought the bus would pick me up again. Damn it! No wonder the guy whom I passed the ball to gave me the Pepsi Goodies Bag.

Oh well...Might as well take a pic of myself...

Oh..and I got Pepsi Merchandises - Magnets (Henry in tux, Fabregas as an explorer, Ronaldinho on the beach), an 'Henry in tux' mug, 2 Pepsi notepads, and of course Pepsi + Sting + Apple Juice!

Anyway...another 1st today...a record to my name...well plus another 899!

Losing our forests?

Took this picture at Everlast, KLCC. Guess they are environment friendly?

I wonder how it got in though. Let's hope it can find it's way out!

Instant Stardom!

My mom was clearing her inbox like normal when she stumbled upon this "junkmail" from Postmaster. Normally she would have deleted it straight away without giving a thought. But not today...prob because the mail was titled "East Malaysia Education Fair" which prompted her to click [enter]. She shrieked soon after (my mom is very good at recognizing faces)! Then, I heard my sis laughing. So I came from my room..and no wonder!

This pic was taken when I was at the Nottingham booth at the recent star edu fair in KL Convention Centre! I was speaking to Andrew of the Faculty of Science.

There you have it; Instant Stardom! I'm officially a net-celebrity! Or an I-Celeb! Haha! It took me far less time to shoot up that high than I expected. Take that, kennysia! XD

Wait, maybe I should sue Postmaster? XD

Bleh..cant upload the whole thing =P

Anyway, why was this pic chosen? Why was I? Haha! My mom said prob I have that studious look! (Which means nerdy! Argh!) Or prob because I looked very attentive? Hmm. Maybe the brand of my shirt wasn't really conspicuous. I mean I doubt they would use my pic if I were wearing my blazing ManU jersey right? Haha! Hmm..biasness is another issue there.

Anyway, it was a real surprise. Haha! Thank you whoever did this ;P

Green Pledge

Mother Nature is suffering. Because of that, we are suffering. Our home is in danger of being destroyed by our very own hands. As a citizen of our planet, ask yourself what have you taken from her? Everything! Now ask yourself, what have you given her? Nothing but suffering. Tomorrow is World Environment Day. What can we do? It's time to stand up to make a name for ourselves. Let us be the ones, the ones whom our children can proudly call us as heroes! Let us make this period as our finest hour. We have the time, the resource, the capabilities to make a change. Question is; can you summon your will to do it? I challenge all of you to make the Green Pledge and practise what you preached!

clean refrigerator coil every 4-6 months
replace at least 3 incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs

The Pleasure of My Company

My contract with my bank expired on the 3rd of June 2008. It was after a 2nd spell in my bank. Before that, I was in HR. I think I had a greater time in CSA. Haha! We had more time to actually mingle with our colleague as oppose to the more working orientated style in HR. Definitely there will be lots to miss... *sobs*

This was my cubicle. Right behind me; I have a partial view of KL.
My monitor isn't flatscreen, mind you =P
HAHA! Noticed the Rubik's Cube, Manu logo I drew, and the SKingston CD? XD
Or what about the toilet roll on the right? I know that's weird...heh

Thank God It's Friday??

Last Friday, my colleagues took me to Colosseum at Jalan TAR. It's quite an old looking place. Lots of elderly people and 'uncles' ran the place =P But anyway, about the food, I had the 4 in 1 chicken! Inside this lump of chicken meat, there's a sausage, turkey ham, and apparently fish - mixed with mushroom sauce, and with long beans and French fries as the side dish, it taste pretty good! But I can't remember what I tasted when I took a bite on a piece. Hmm. I must remember to take a picture next time ;)

So this is KarMei, my Kar Jie, cam-whoring with me...sort off =p

We were busy gossiping, when Ms Gaik's Sizzling Lamb came...

Hot and oily steam begin to engulf us all...

Every man for himself! Sorry Ms Gaik! We distant ourselves from her...

Now we truly know why they provided us with napkins! Carmen and I were also shielding ourselves. Guess the other restaurant patrons thought we looked funny.

Well anyway, we survived all of that, and got back to the office with our bellies stuffed!

When we got back, I had another pleasant surprised! My boss, JJ, called me to her place just as I went to get a refill at the pantry. Immediately, I noticed a black plastic bag, that I had only just seen earlier that day ;P I was so grateful; I was almost speechless! all I could do was thank her profusely! I was really so happy! It's like I got a bonus rather than a farewell gift or even a belated birthday present. Haha!

JJ got me a motivational book - 100 Ways to Motivate Yourself. Just the kind of book you will see me read ;) If you lost me in a shopping mall, just head to the Self-Help section of the bookstore!

I also got an extra allowance.

And finally, a 'thank-you' card! That really means a lot! =)

It's so sad-dening leaving all of my friends at CSA =( I will definitely miss them...

On a lighter note, I got the autographed Sean Kingston CD I won from FlyFm recently! It's so uber cool! Steve also had wished me Happy Birthday when he called me that day! Guess what was my message? ;) - Good Luck to Manchester United! - =D
