let's talk physics

(Universal Gravitational Constant, G = 6.673 x 10-11 N m2/kg2)

Have you seen the above formula before? It's Newton's universal law of gravitation. this law extends gravity beyond Earth. This means Newton's law of universal gravitation is about the universality of gravity. Not only that, according to Newton, ALL objects attract each other with a force of gravitational attraction.

So, if we manipulate this formula, you could calculate the Force of attraction say... between Grinch and trees (assuming you know their masses).

Supposed, mass of Grinch, M = 60kg (Well I am, in case there are any doubters out there!)
And mass of trees, m = I dunno... maybe
2.0 x 1020kg
And the distance between me and the centre of those group of trees, r = 20m

So, if we input those data into the formula...

The Force of attraction between us is 2.0 x 109N or 2.0 x 109kgms-2 (which is quite high)
So meaning, I love trees! :D

This means, if we increase both M & m, (not just in our diet), the two objects will have a higher force of attraction. Can this apply to your other half, you asked?

Just visualise, if you and your partner have massive M & m, it can mean both of you will be attracted to each other more than if you are both so skinny. This is assuming if both of you remain close (r) though. So keep your r close if you want sparks to continue.

Next time if your girlfriend asks if she looks fat in her new dress, quickly input the above formula in your head, reduced the r (move closer to her), and tell her that she's not and she looks beautiful.

Let this formula be your guide.

See! Physics is fun!

2 kids

I was in my sister's room...

*Toilet flushes* (in our shared bathroom)

Me & Sis: - Yerr..

Me:- Oh. It's just Poh Poh.

Sis:- *Tries to throw voice in somewhat a squeaky strange tone* No. It's me, Goldilocks!

Me:- Fee Fai Fo Fum! *Pauses a second* Wait. That's a different show right??

Sis:- LMAO

.....................................................................................................................................................................

My sis was telling me about her smart friends in class...

Sis:- I envy them. Hmm... What's the plural for genius?

Me:- Arrhenius.

Sis:- *Swt* Omg. You say genii (pronounced genie-i) also better larr!

Me:- Lol. Sorry lar. Just studied kinetics in school.

tock tick tock tick...

Wei! Faster lar! Let's go in. Benjamin old already!

We were about 5-10 minutes late when we arrived. But the movie still proved to be a masterclass! This movie had it all. There were some scenes where you would cry. Some scenes which can make you laugh - The guy who was struck by lightning 7 times. XD

If you ever picture yourself aging backwards, this is the movie for you. It certainly is strange, a tad bit 'curious'. To me, the first half of life would be apparently seem swell. We will slowly be liberated from our sufferings i.e. arthritis, cataracts, etc. Schools will be 'old-folks' homes' - albeit having only a few students. I guess it would be easy to get lots of MC. We can come up with anything and our parents or doctors will buy it. But passing on will be horrible. It's like we won't know anything. Life so much so ends (psychologically) before it ends (physically).

And during middle age, it's like quite eww lorr. There was this scene where Benjamin (age wise is older but looking soooo much younger compared to Daisy) slept with Daisy. It seems quite gross. He looked like her son.

Ok. But perhaps not very much different from the 'real world' we are living in. We will still get lots of TLC time in the early stages of our lives. We will drool lots when we are 'babies'. We will worry our 'parents' sick if we aren't back before our curfew. Oh and many many more.

How about if we are born younger?? That will really upset parents - perhaps even hysterical. It can only mean... that we don't have have as much time as the other 'kids'. Ok... this is getting way too confusing! It will be like having a countdown clock on your head - like in that music video, Savin' Me by Nickelback.

Also, it does beg the question whether people will still ask, "How old are you?". Perhaps if all of us were born old, then it will make it more logical to instead ask, "How young are you?" since we are young at the later part of our lives. And that would sound more polite in that world as well as ours right? It's kinda weird though listening to our much 'younger' parents that we should respects our 'youngers'. What if they pull our ears and it drops off! >.< width="425" height="344">

Some people, were born to sit by a river.
Some get struck by lightning.
Some have an ear for music.
Some are artists.
Some swim.
Some know buttons.
Some know Shakespeare.
Some are mothers.
And some people...
Dance.

How was your Valentines Day? I was in class, studying Malaysian studies. It was quite romantic.

We studied that Parameswara married a Majapahit Princess but then he broke one vital code that we must always remember in marriage; never upset the in-laws. He tried to take control of his father in-law's empire for God's sake. Couldn't he wait till it was his turn next in line??

Ok maybe if he had not done that, he wouldn't have fled to Temasek where he killed Temagi (out of his power-crazy ego), and then to Muar before hiding away in this small fishing village where he witnessed his beloved dogs outwitted by a kancil (mousedeer). No more killing after that, or so I read. He decided to reside in that place where he named 'Malacca' or Malaqua - market.

Anyway, he married again and converted to Muslim. He was then known as Megat Iskandar Shah from then on.

Oh and specifically another Sultan's marriage was discussed. Sultan Mansur Shah, arguably the greatest ruler during the Malacca dynasty, took a Chinese Princess's hand in marriage. Her name? Princess Hang Li Po. She was from the Han Dynasty; note her name 'Hang'. Some say the name has a resemblance to the names of the 5 great Malay warriors of their time, which with latest findings are in serious doubt if they were Malay at all.

But I digress. It's all about the romantics of learning history. I do love it. I'm serious. I have been in love with history since school, especially in Form 4.

Hope the above video cheer you up as it did to me.

Happy Valentines Day!

I was browsing through my cousin (Li Xia)'s blog and found this guy (David Choi). He's really amazing!

time to get on with the race

I dealt my cards,
I made my own destiny,
Confidence I wasn't lacking,
Foolishly I gambled.

Thought I could master my own future,
The lust of the power,
Compelled me to ignore my instincts,
And so I was condemned to be on my knees.

How twisted fate may be,
How one's pride can crumble,
How for a single man to make his comeback,
How can I not make my comeback.

An so I listen,
Like an eager learner,
Realising what went wrong,
After being brought back to Earth.

I learnt I can't be on my own,
I need the guidance of a higher power,
I hope He can hear my calling,
I pray He help me through my struggles.

I'm lucky to have positive vibes around me,
Coming from precious friends,
They will help a blind man,
I shall redeem myself.

I am Dumbo

Yesterday I couldn't recognise Ke Xin, my cousin's cousin when I bumped into her at KL Sentral. She had to intro herself as Shi Ian's cousin baru I ingat. I'm soooooo soooorry!

Today I forgot to ask for the receipt from a bookshop (Mom is furious; because without it, we can't claim rebate in income tax).

Tomorrow, what else would I forget?

Nothing!

I shall be like an elephant from now on.

we will miss you

Dear Friend...
You left all too a sudden,
So unexpected, so numbing,
We had no reason to suspect anything,
It was way before your time,
But I know you will be in His caring and loving arms,
You will be fondly missed,
But always on our mind.
Goodbye...
