The first day cover which I got on Tuesday :D
It would have been better if VI were valued higher that the others though :p But I guess all are rightfully priced the same - 50 cents. But if only...!

It's a curious thing that all the Premier Schools selected are those with English names - Victoria Institution, Convent Bukit Nanas (They have the 'Convent' word. That's English.), All Saints, and St Thomas. Maybe it is just that they are really old (not to mentioned better designed - British colonial look) schools. However, there are also some which are just as old or older but not selected. A few I know from SBU and Penang Free School bising that their school did not get their equally deserved recognition.

Among those that were, 1 is from Sabah and Sarawak each. And the other 2 from Peninsular are a boys' school, Victoria Institution, and a girls' school, CBN.

I think that after this, many other schools will be getting their stamps soon; depending on the majority sitting in the halls of rulers of course. But as for the moment, bragging rights are ours. Bear with us! :D

end of semester

Hahaha! Managed to snap this picture with my last ever product - Dithranol Paste. It's quite sad.

No More manufacturing Records (MRs), No more dispensing classes, no more rushing around in the lab to collect our apparatuses, no more trying to explain our flaws to our assessors. No more sitting for weekly Pharmaceutics tests :p No more of those. It was lots of fun while it lasted though. I had looked forward to every Wednesday for this lab session. Then again, I look forward to other different lab sessions next semester.

Oh and I have to thank the bus driver. He had help me keep my pencil case I had left the day before! Such a nice fella!

And... I'm proud to say that the School of Pharmacy of Nottingham University comes top in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise 2008! :D 95% of our research was judged to be of international quality and 35% world leading!

Woohoo! That's what I call ending the semester on a high!

I realised...

• I get bored easily; especially when I'm not under the spotlight. Bad huh?
  
• bootgate incidents can make those involved famous.

• it is not easy getting what we want all the time.
  
• I prefer to get what I want the hard way rather than just being served on a silver platter.
• I genuinely am concern about the well-being of my friends.

• I laugh a lot.
• I get annoyed when I'm not being updated about anything.
• I love my friends; especially when they are random and are ready to let their hair down and go crazy.
• that the present (366 days Lovely Bear) Pharmnotts gave us for Christmas costs RM8 each! Ok la. Can now say the RM40 I paid for the party was quite worth it.
  
• walking is tiring especially when you have a huge load over your back.
• the worst businessman can really sell me anything.
• the temptations of going online beats exhaustion any day.
• waiting for the next episode of Heroes is painfully excruciating.
• I always forget to reply friends' texts nowadays.
• I forgot to show off the VI stamp to my friends.
• I have to send out my Christmas cards soon... I mean tomorrow.
  
• after that I have to go to bed.
  

3 months thus far

After nearly 3 months of knowing my friends well enough, I'm already comfortable.. some would say too comfortable to...

• buuuurrrpppp in front of them after every meals.
  

• share my evil schemes with them when they will be at the end of the prank.
  

• tickle their funny bone for fun.
  

tell them that I love them; guy or girl.

post-exam

I have just got e-mails from my lecturer. From what was quoted:

"As expected, there was a large spread of marks awarded, with some students doing very well and others not so. I realise that many of you have only had time to do a little preparation, as such, I expect that all of you will do better in the real exams (provided that you do lots of revision)."

I think I know what I have to do this few weeks leading up to my finals. My focus will mainly be on my cellular biochemistry and an introduction to microbiology module. Even whilst sitting in the exam hall, waiting to start (or to end), I knew I wasn't quite prepared. What am I doing here? I'm not ready! I decided to give my best. Now I know how much I know.

I have been in this situation before, exactly 1 month before my STPM, after getting like a C in my Biology, I didn't question myself. I knew I could do it; I made a game plan; I lifted my chin and rose to the challenge. I got an A. Now as history is repeating itself, I know what I have to do. No more playing around. Time to redeem myself.

the plague

Lately, something has been really bugging me. It has been plaguing my thoughts for the last couple of weeks.

It's so hard to put this into words...

Ok maybe 'bugging' and 'plaguing' aren't the right words to describe it. Hmm.

Are good deeds the same as just being nice?

I have already paid it forward... or rather back. But why do I feel like I still owe more...?
It definitely left a lasting impression as far as I'm concern. One of which I less comprehend, less understood... of how long further will it remain... radiating this inexplicable vibes within this shell.

Perhaps it was of pure kind intentions, coming straight from the bottom of her heart.
If it was, it was hardly anything I have known before.

short hiatus

Sorry there y'all! I will be taking a short break from blogging. I am having my mock exams pretty soon. So I shall be back by 15th Dec.

1. I love out-of-this-world phenomenons. =)

2. I love water frisbee! Can we play again?? I demand a rematch!! The last one was so unfair! They were attacking at the deep pool. So, the keeper obviously has little or no chance to block the goal. I was the keeper... -_-"
3. I love Egusi, Nigerian soup. It taste as good as it sounds - a mixture of pulut but looks like potato; with some egg omelette + chicken side dish. Not soupy at all.
4. I love that Christmas is coming. Falalalala-la-la-la...
5. I love running. I feel free... in touch with the world... in a relaxing zone. Ran 5km last week. I feel fit! Went swimming after that... like a true Malaysian, to wash off the sweat... :p
6. I love blog-hopping. I just found out how easy it is to find people's blog - actually learnt it after a somber incident which happened near my uni. A guy wrote a post expressing his thoughts and opinions about the incident. And somehow the CEO of the uni found out and sent a public email to everyone else condemning him. Haha. I'm not taking sides. He can write whatever he likes but should consider the feelings of others. I mean should at least discreet the names lar. Kai Yee asked me to save the post as it has been since taken down. But not something which is safe-keep worthy for me. So anyway, just by typing a certain keyword, I found out a few of my classmates' blog. Omg. I'm such a stalker. There's Chia Yin's, Basil's and many of the seniors'. And mine is there too! Gosh. I should be careful not to use these 'common' keyphrases too often.
7. I did the glucose test on Evonne, my classmate during our Community Pharmacy Visit XD Pricked her finger and all. Haha!
8. I love it when I discover a good song in my playlist. I guess I have to thank my sis for downloading it.



9. I love it when friends call me out of the blue just to have a quick chat.
10. I love getting attention :D

Lately... oh nevermind... We should see if there's anything... ;)
